American Congressmen Mr. Eliot L. Engel and Mr. Gary C. Peters have visited KEK on Sunday, namely the core premises of the corporation. The Managing Director of KEK, Mr. Arben Gjukaj, welcomed American lawmakers.
Congressmen were very satisfied with the state of the corporation and management.
“Electricity is produced here which is vital for both, the economy and the citizens. Just continue forward, you have our full support” have encouraged Mr. Engel and Mr. Peters.
On the other hand, Mr. Gjukaj informed the Congressmen about developments within the company. “KEK is expected to have over 220 million Euros of annual revenue, which is double when compared to the previous four years. Corporation now has financial stability and is investing in all sectors, “said Mr. Gjukaj. He informed U.S. lawmakers on the ongoing investment at PP “Kosovo B”, and, specifically, at the B2 unit, which will produce same as when it was new when it will be back in operation from an overhaul, at the end of this month. Congressmen during their visit in KEK have been accompanied by higher staff of USAID in Kosovo. American Agency has consistently helped the corporation on its way to stabilization.
