31-01-2011

KEK j.s.c is scandalised with article of daily news agency “Kosovaprees” with headline “Ceroviku for a week without electricity”  published on Sunday 30.01.2011 and also in the other medias because there are a lot of defamations that starts from headline. A part of village Cerovik – Klinë doesn’t have electric energy staring from 28.01.2011 and on 30.01.2011 when was published article are two day and not a week. According abovementioned agency the officers from KEK has required from citizens to pay 3000 € to repair damaged pole that was damaged from a driver with his own vehicle. This information was given from Mr. Ramadan Dakaj – citizen.

KEK j.s.c clarifies that the amount from 3000€ was not required for damage repair.

The pole was broken while in this case there were damaged also three air fuses and Low Tension Conductor in this network.  At about 9:00 the KEK’s team from Klina went in the scene and has eliminated the risk. But to fix the network there must be fulfilled the condition for collection percentage. The debt of this village where are living 100 customer is over 83.000 €. Therefore there was submitted the list if customer debts and there was clarified that if they are interested to fix the damage there must be paid 10 % of old debt and last bill. That means that there were required 8300 € as 10% and last bill from euro 2870 € that means over 11 000 €.

Should be clarified that KEK J.s.c does not request neither a cent on behalf of the repair, it is provided free of charge. Agency in question is consciously making it to seem like a request of KEK for payment of service, and not as a request for repayment of debt. The amount of 3000 euros is made-up by the agency in question. Furthermore, Kosovapress did not even try to contact the information office of KEK.

Corporation in this regard has officially contacted Mr. Dakaj and the same has categorically denied that he said that KEK officials have asked 3000 euros to repair the damage. Furthermore, Mr. Dakaj has expressed willingness to testify wherever and whenever required that the statement was made-up.

Regarding this disinformation, KEK J.s.c will contact the competent authorities in order to lighten the truth and journalistic inventions receive deserved penalty.

Such ill information is tendentious when we consider who owns the agency in question, for which the corporation has previously acted in response and clarified reports. Therefore, in such situation, KEK J.s.c appeals to all media that if they receive articles from the said agency dealing with the corporation to verify them with the information office of the Corporation, so the truth can be reported.
