KEK J.s.c identifies irregularities after control in Gjilan

29-09-2011

KEK J.s.c has controlled a feeder that was in A + in the Industrial Zone of Gjilan. Apart from large commercial losses and low pay, the corporation has identified other irregularities.

Of the total 68 visited consumers, 9 of them were illegally connected consumers, 1 did not had a distribution seal at all, and 4 were sent for calibration to see if they were misused. About 10 percent of consumers in this supply line were household consumers, while according to the law only businesses are allowed to connect on the feeder categorized as A +.

Controls that are being made across the country, which are also including the consumers of A + category are made to fight irregularities and reduce losses.

As a result of efficient control, Corporation has managed to reduce losses to about 5 percent this year when compared with the same period of previous year. Procedures will continue until the last abuser is identified and take the deserved assessment appointed by the competent court. Sentences can be up to 50 thousand euro fine, but also court can impose a prison sentence, as the stealing electricity is considered a crime like any other thievery.

In order to ensure stable electricity supply KEK J.s.c appeals to all consumers to strictly adhere to rules and laws.
